Corridor Design Company was contracted by Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory to design a 1:120 scale model of the CMS detector, an experiment on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. We designed, manufactured, and delivered more than 100 of these models. These models are now sitting in over 50 universities across the United States, offices of members of Congress, on the set of the Big Bang Theory CBS television show, and were on the set of Chicago Tonight until their recent renovation.
These 3D Printed models are approximately the size of an American Football.
